  • The sector doesn't go against our core values - we stay away from companies that harm environmental sustainability, promote animal cruelty, create products to harm others, & feed on addiction

Generally our commitments have a very wide range. Our largest tickets go after observation of the team's track record of consistently over delivering on goals and metrics, maintaining a spotless reputation, and level of respect and transparency towards all stakeholders.


We look for growth areas, not just trends.  Platforms & ecosystems, high margin (antifragile), repeat customer models, self-cannibalizing R&D approaches, and teams that want to contribute to global sustainable growth.  While that's asking a lot, 2020 has brought a long list who do just that, to our portfolio.


We manage a real estate portfolio that requires low maintenance, attracts a wider range of families and businesses, and where rents/leases run from 1-5 years. We don't look at Real Estate in Private Equity or fund/REIT formats.


We look for operating businesses where the management team look to make a majority of their income through performance incentives.  Revenues of $3-20m, and EBITDA of $0.5 - $4m are our sweet spot. Low Capex and R&D are our favorite characteristics, but we won't shy away from businesses that have them.


We look for businesses that create positive reputations not only in front of their traditional stakeholders, but also for the communities in which they operate. Energy efficiency, localizing supply chains, digitization, financial inclusion, are some of the factors on the top of our list when looking at investment targets.


We have invested in Angel rounds since the early 2000s. Over the last 20 years, we developed our methodology and grew our network to find companies who build processes and platforms that deliver high growth trajectories and momentum to deliver sustainable economic models.
